"You Bring Me Joy" is a song written by David Lasley. It was first recorded in 1980 by Norman Connors, with vocals by Adaritha, for his album Take It to the Limit. The song was released as a B-side single in 1980 by Arista Records. Later, American R&B singer Anita Baker included the song on her second studio album, Rapture (1986), which was produced by Michael J. Powell.

In 1990, David Lasley released the song again on his album Soldiers on the Moon. This version was a live studio recording featuring David Benoit on piano, Jeff Porcaro on drums, and Abraham Laboriel on bass. The album was produced by Jeffrey Weber. Jonathan Widran of AllMusic wrote that the collection includes "smooth and appealing original songs, including 'You Bring Me Joy' from Anita Baker."

At the 2018 BET Awards, Yolanda Adams performed "You Bring Me Joy" as a tribute to Anita Baker. This performance honored Baker with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
