Synopsis

Cha Eun-ho is a successful writer and the main editor at a book publishing company. Kang Dan-i is a mother and a former advertising copywriter who had success in her career. When Cha Eun-ho was a child, Kang Dan-i saved him from an accident and got hurt in the process. While she was getting better in the hospital, she asked Cha Eun-ho to help her. Later, she stayed in bed for a year. By helping her find books to read from the library, Cha Eun-ho became interested in writing. The two young friends remained close throughout their childhood and into adulthood. However, their friendship had problems after Kang Dan-i began dating a man who was selfish and did not care about others. Although Cha Eun-ho did not approve of her choice, and Kang Dan-i sometimes had doubts, she decided to marry him.

In the present, Cha Eun-ho asks Kang Dan-i to help him find a housekeeper, but he does not know that she is the one working and being paid for it. Her husband cheated on her, and she is now divorced and without a job. Cha Eun-ho is unaware of her current situation or the difficulties she faces as a divorced mother with a long break from work. Eventually, Kang Dan-i can no longer keep her secrets, and Cha Eun-ho helps her. Their lives become more connected when Kang Dan-i applies for a temporary job at his publishing company. At first, Cha Eun-ho is worried about how she will do, but Kang Dan-i impresses him and other senior leaders with her creativity and hard work.

The rest of the story follows the personal and professional challenges they face as they slowly begin to understand their true feelings for each other and work through this new stage in their lives.
