Champs-sur-Marne (French pronunciation: [ʃɑ̃ syʁ maʁn]; lit. "Fields-on-Marne") is a commune in the eastern outer suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 18.2 km (11.3 mi) from the center of Paris, on the left bank of the Marne River.

The commune of Champs-sur-Marne is known for its château. It is part of the Val Maubuée area, one of four sectors in the "new town" of Marne-la-Vallée.

History

The commune was originally named Champs. It was officially named Champs-sur-Marne, which means "Fields upon Marne," on April 9, 1962. The Hôtel de Ville was finished in 2002.
