For Your Love is an American comedy series that first aired on March 17, 1998, on NBC. The show was created by Yvette Lee Bowser, who also made the series Living Single. It starred Holly Robinson Peete, James Lesure, Tamala Jones, Edafe Blackmon, Dedee Pfeiffer, and D. W. Moffett. NBC ended the show after its first season, which had eight episodes. The WB network then continued the series for four more seasons. In total, the show lasted for five seasons, with its final episode airing on August 11, 2002.
Synopsis
"For Your Love" is a show that follows three couples as they help each other learn how to handle relationships with the opposite sex. At the beginning of the series, Sheri and Dean were the most experienced couple, having been together for 15 years and married for four. Malena, who is Sheri's best friend, and Mel were new married couples who moved next door to Sheri and Dean in the first episode. Bobbi and Reggie, who is Mel's younger brother, were dating. They were described as people who avoid making long-term commitments, but they cared about each other more than they were willing to say.
The show's theme song is a cover of a song with the same name originally performed by the Yardbirds. It was sung by Chaka Khan and Michael McDonald.
